Vintage LEGO Set, 1950s

LEGO sets from the 1950s were part of the early “System of Play” concept introduced by Godtfred Kirk Christiansen. These sets were simple building kits comprising around 20 pieces that together formed towns with houses, roads and vehicles - the foundation of modern LEGO.

If complete, sets from the 1950s can worth hundreds or even thousands of pounds. Sadly, this beauty is missing a few pieces. So it’s more of a display item and precious little piece of LEGO history, in testament to the timeless creativity these colourful blocks have inspired for generations.
