Another amazing instalment from Silver Bells magazine, published in 1953, and featuring some of the best Japanese authors, illustrators and cartoonists of its era. This issues includes two children’s masks, also printed in Japan in 1953.
Silver Bells magazine brought colour and creativity back to the city of Hiroshima in the years that followed the devastating atomic bomb of 1945, and was a pre-cursor, in many ways, to contemporary Japanese anime and animation.
