A first edition of Peter Max’s phenomenal Poster Book from 1970 - featuring 24 full-colour original posters from psychedelic artist and pop culture icon Peter Max.
Max’s bold colours, uplifting images and uncommon artistic diversity have touched almost every phase of American culture and inspired generations. And his work has appeared on everything from the backdrop to the main stage at Woodstock to Grammy Award posters, jet planes, album sleeves, presidential libraries, and the flyers for the 1967 'Be In', a political gathering of hippies in New York's Central Park.
This rare and now highly collectable book is in good condition. The cover has some general wear and a small tear to the top corner, and there is a little loosening to the spine. But all 24 posters (measuring 11 x 16 inches) are present and in nice condition, displaying just some minor discolouration due to age.
