Marie Neurath designed science books for children in the mid-20th century, using modernist visual techniques and illustrations to explain complex ideas. Neurath and her team were the brains behind Isotype – the International System Of Typographic Picture Education – a method for assembling, configuring and disseminating statistical information through pictorial means.

Simple yet vivd, child-centred yet technically accurate, this Isotype Parrish Colour Book is a great example of how Neurath pioneered the use of infographics to teach kids scientific concepts in groundbreaking ways.

Just beautiful.
