Miss Chiquita! 1975.
Our First Lady of fruit.
A rare, bright-yellow brand mascot who first found fame in fruit aisles of the 1940s as an animated banana.
Miss Chiquita was drawn by illustrator Dik Browne (creator of Hägar the Horrible and the Hi and Lois comics) and, naturally, had her own jingle.
“I’m Chiquita banana and I’ve come to say – Bananas have to ripen in a certain way – When they are fleck’d with brown and have a golden hue – Bananas taste the best and are best for you …….”
This particular Miss Chiquita incarnation was made in 1975 and remains in great condition.
There’s no trade tariff that’s gonna stop this lovely lady from brightening your day.
Proudly potassium-rich and here to remind you that life can be sunny sometimes.
