An obscure and inarguably cool monkey toy from the 1950s or 1960s. Complete with stripey shirt, red trousers with braces, hat and shoes.
I can’t find a comparable monkey for sale anywhere else and although he looks to be from the late 1950s or early 1960s, I’m not sure of his exact origin.
Can anyone enlighten me?
There’s a stamp on his back that says Made in Hong Kong, but no brand name.
No identity papers on this little dude, but he has masses of character, cool moveable arms and a cracking little outfit to boot.
Measurements: 23cm in length.
