This wonderfully antiquated collection of stories for boys, by Birn Brothers in 1955, would have you believe that all 1950s schoolboys sailed yachts, leapt between canyons on horseback, and cracked obscure mysteries in smugglers’ creeks. (And apparently had no time at all for smoking ciggies behind the school bus stop.)
Romantic or ridiculous? One for the combover lovers in any case…..
