Condition: The book itself is in very good condition but with some light water staining to end papers. No pen marks or inscriptions. Good clean pages. The original non-clipped price jacket also has some water staining (as shown in images) but is otherwise in good condition, and has been protected by an acetate wrapper.
All in all this is a great copy of an iconic children’s book in first edition. “A brilliant mixture of suspenseful Victorian melodrama and tongue-in-cheek, this outrageously funny tale is an enchantment from start to finish.”
