Will books this colourful, this trippy, this impossibly seductive ever be created again?

The Peter Max Land of Colour books are without doubt some of the finest books to have ever been created by an acclaimed artist.

The words and illustrations draw you deep into the artist’s imagination, and every page is as bizarre and dazzling as the next.

Psychedelic artist Max is also a pop culture icon. His bold colours, uplifting images and uncommon artistic diversity have touched almost every phase of American culture and inspired generations. And his work has appeared on everything from the backdrop to the main stage at Woodstock to Grammy Award posters, jet planes, album sleeves and presidential libraries.

These books are all first editions from 1970 and, these days, are very hard to come by.

Three little pieces of psychedelic art history and a trip back to the kaleidoscopic ‘60s and ‘70s, when Peter Max was in his heyday.
