Punch was a British weekly satirical magazine which was founded in 1841 by Henry Mayhew and wood-engraver Ebenezer Landells, and which helped to coin the word “cartoon” in its modern sense as a humorous illustration.

This issue is a rare treasure trove of satirical cartoon, antique illustration and retro 1920s advertising, and, apart from some loosening to spine, has been amazingly well preserved.
