An early and extremely handsome edition of Bambi by Felix Salten, that timeless story of a forest deer who learns the way of the woods, and in doing so that life can be as dangerous as it is beautiful.
This scarce and unusual edition was published in 1929 by Gorsset and Dunlap, New York, and contains illustrations by Kurt Wiese and a foreword by John Galsworthy.
A lovely antique gift for a special child, and one which will appreciate in value with age.
Binding: Hardback
Condition: Book itself in VG+ condition with clean cover, tight binding and just some discolouration to inner pages due to age. Original just jacket has been well looked after and protected by plastic, but has a couple of minor tears.
